The basics
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no paywall, no upsell. We read the flyers; you keep the savings. The price is the product — not you.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. It's a website and a feed. Open it, read this week's prices, get on with your day. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Who is GroceryCosts for?
Anyone who buys groceries in Tirana — and the diaspora keeping an eye on prices back home. If you shop, it's for you.
Prices & sources
How often are prices updated?
When a new flyer is published, its dates travel with every price. When the flyer expires, the note stays in the archive with the original dates attached.
Where do the prices come from?
Straight from the stores' own published weekly flyers. We read each one, type out the items and prices, and cite the source and dates — for example, "SPAR, 14–23 April." If we can't source it, we don't post it.
Are the numbers accurate?
We copy them from the published flyer, dates and all. Shelf prices can occasionally differ from a flyer; when they do, the flyer and its dates are your receipt. Spot something off? Tell us and we'll correct it.
Stores & fairness
Which stores do you cover?
We currently read SPAR and Conad flyers. More stores can be added as we grow. Every price names the store and flyer dates.
Do you favour any store?
No. Nobody pays to rank, and no store can buy a better spot. We report the flyer price, the product, and the dates.
Are you against the supermarkets?
Not at all. The villain is the price, never the store. SPAR, Conad and the rest are the cast, not the enemy — we're the neutral referee who reports the numbers.

Head to the blog for this week's prices. Every post is sourced to a flyer and its dates, so you can check the receipt.
Can I suggest a store or an item?
Please do. If there's a chain or a staple you want tracked, tell us — we add what shoppers actually buy.
Language & legality
Do you support Albanian?
Yes. The site is bilingual — English and Albanian. Albanian leads on retailer and offer pages, where the searcher is Albanian. Numbers and prices are identical across both languages; only the words change.
Is this legal?
Yes. Prices and facts are not copyrightable; a retailer's flyer layout, photography and logos are. We extract the data and rebuild it in our own design — we never repost a store's flyer artwork. Our published price notes are our own work, citing the source and dates. Cross-store comparison is something no single flyer shows, so we're adding value, not copying it.
Do you store my data or track me?
No. No account, no analytics, no tracking. We don't know who you are. The price is the product — not you.
